In this course, students investigate the social, political, cultural and economic developments that impacted Bahamian history. Major themes include indigenous peoples, European colonisation and slavery, Emancipation, North American influence, migration, the development of modern Bahamian society, nationalism, social and labour movements, decolonisation and independence and globalization.
